Russo-Ukraine War - 18 November 2025 - Day 1364

A number of claims and counterclaims are being made on the Ukraine-Russia conflict on the ground and online. While GlobalSecurity.org takes utmost care to accurately report this news story, we cannot independently verify the authenticity of all statements, photos and videos.

On 24 February 2022, Ukraine was suddenly and deliberately attacked by land, naval and air forces of Russia, igniting the largest European war since the Great Patriotic War. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" (SVO - spetsialnaya voennaya operatsiya) in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the "Donbass republics" for help. That attack is a blatant violation of the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Putin stressed that Moscow's goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country. The military buildup in preceeding months makes it obvious that the unprovoked and dastardly Russian attack was deliberately planned long in advance. During the intervening time, the Russian government had deliberately sought to deceive the world by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

"To initiate a war of aggression... is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." [Judgment of the International Military Tribunal]

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in total, 150 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders are decisively intercepting the attempts of the Russian enemy to advance deep into Ukrainian territory, giving him a fiery impression.

Today Russian troops made one rocket and 33 aviation strikes, used one rocket and dropped 62 controlled air bombs. In addition, 2440 kamikaze drones were involved in strikes and carried out 2999 shelling positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

In the North Slobozhansky and Kursky directions, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two Russian assault actions since the beginning of the day. In addition, the Russian enemy launched one air strike, dropping four controlled airstrike bombs, and carrying out 145 shells to the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, one of which was from a jet-fire system.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the Russian enemy six times stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, Kamyanka and towards the Kolodyazne settlement. One fight is still going on.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian aggressor carried out offensive actions four times in the areas of the settlements Petropavlivka, Pishnete and Kupyansk.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked the positions of the Defense Forces seven times in the direction of the settlements of Korovyn Yar, Stavka, Drobisheve, Lyman and in the direction of Oleksandrivka. The three clashes are still ongoing.
Seven Russian assaults were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Slovak direction - the Russian occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Serebryanka, Yampol and in the directions of Siversk and Zvanivka.
In the Kramatorsky direction, the Russian opponent twice tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian defenders in the direction of Bondarny and in the direction of Virolyubivka, received a cut off.
In the Konstantinivka direction, 19 times Russians went into offensive on the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Scherbinivka, Rusynoy Yar and towards Konstantynivka, Stepanivka and Sofiyivka. One fight is still going on.
In the Pokrovsky direction since the beginning of the day, the Russian occupiers 47 times tried to advance on the position of Ukrainian units. The enemy attacked in the areas of settlements Shahove, New Shahove, Chervony Lyman, Mirnograd, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Novoekonomíčne, Novopavlivka, Rivne, Kotline, Udačne, Molodec роke, Philia, Dachne. In four locations, the fights have not subsided so far.
According to preliminary data, today in this direction there were 68 Russian occupiers, 45 of them - irrevocably. Also Ukrainian soldiers damaged 15 unmanned aircraft, two motorcycles; 12 coverings for the enemy's personnel and two motorcycles were affected.
In the direction of Oleksandrivsky, Russian forces 18 times tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of the settlements of Green Gai, Sosnivka, Verbove, Oleksiyivka, Privilne, Rivnopillya, Rybne, Pavlivka, Krasnogírske. Air strikes were suffered by Kolomijcí and Pokrovsk.
In the gulyajpíl шs йkomu direction, the Russian enemy 17 times attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Dobropillâ, Green Grove, Comfort, Merry. The two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Orihiv direction, the Russian opponent once attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of Primorsky. Under the air strike of nekorovanih aviation missiles were the zalíznih and novoandríjvka.
In the Pridniprovsk direction, the Russian enemy twice in vain tried to approach the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Pridniprovskje suffered a Russian air strike.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

The Sever Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on formations of three mechanised brigades, an infantry brigade, an air assault brigade, and an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Alekseyevka, Yunakovka, Mogritsa, Ivolzhanskoye, and Novaya Setch (Sumy region).

Tsegelnoye in Kharkov region is liberated.

The AFU losses amounted to up to 115 troops, an armoured fighting vehicle, 12 motor vehicles, two electronic warfare stations, and seven materiel depots.

The Zapad Group of Forces improved the situation along the front line. Five mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two territorial defence brigades, and a national guard brigade have been hit near Monachinovka, Velikaya Shapkovka, Nechvolodovka, Staroverovka (Kharkov region), and Drobyshevo (Donetsk People's Republic).

Assault detachments of the 6th Army continue to destroy the encircled enemy group close to Kupyansk (Kharkov region).

An attempt of the 125th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU to conduct a counter-attack from Blagodatovka (Kharkov region) to unblock enemy units have been thwarted. The enemy has lost up to ten militants.

In addition, up to 50 troops, three pickup trucks, a UK-made L-119 howitzer, and five electronic warfare stations have been neutralised.

In total, more than 220 troops, a tank, two armoured fighting vehicles including a U.S.-made HMMWV armoured vehicle, 18 motor vehicles, and an artillery gun were neutralised. Ten electronic warfare station and five ammunition depots were neutralised.

The Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions. Russian troops engaged four mechanised brigades, a mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a territorial defence brigade near Seversk, Slavyansk, Stepanovka, Konstantinovka, and Vasyukovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

The enemy lost more than 70 troops, five armoured fighting vehicles including two Western-made vehicles, 16 motor vehicles, and two artillery guns. An electronic warfare station, five ammunition, fuel, and materiel depots were neutralised.

The Tsentr Group of Forces improved the tactical situation. Russian forces inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of six mechanised brigade, an infantry brigade, a jaeger brigade, an assault brigade, two air assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades, a territorial defence brigade, and three national guard brigades close to Belitskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, Novoaleksandrovka, and Mezhevaya in Dnepropetrovsk region.

In Krasnoarmeysk (Donetsk People's Republic), assault groups of the 2nd Army continue to neutralise surrounded AFU units in the Tsentralny district and in western parts of Gornyak district, as well as in the western industrial area.

Six attacks of the 32nd Mechanised Brigade and the 425th Skala Assault Regiment of the AFU were repelled from the area of Grishino (Donetsk People's Republic) in order to unblock an encircled group of the AFU. Up to 30 militants have been neutralised.

In Dimitrov (Donetsk People's Republic), units of the 51st Army continue offensive operations in Vostochny, Zapadny district and the southern part of the town.

Over the past 24 hours in Krasnoarmeysk direction, up to 275 troops, a tank, a French-made 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery system, and four pickup trucks have been neutralised.

In total, more than 455 troops, a tank, eight motor vehicles, and an artillery gun were neutralised.

The Vostok Group of Forces advanced to the depth of the enemy's defence and liberated Nechayevka (Dnepropetrovsk region).

Troops of two mechanised brigades, two assault brigades, three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and two territorial defence brigades have been hit near Gulyaypole, Vozdvizhevka (Zaporozhye region), Kolomiytsy, and Gerasimovka (Dnepropetrovsk region).

The AFU losses amounted to over 350 troops, an armoured fighting vehicle, and seven motor vehicles.

The Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of a mechanised brigade, a coastal defence brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a territorial defence brigade near Orekhov, Primorskoye (Zaporozhye region), Berislav, and Kazatskoye (Kherson region).

Up to 80 troops, four armoured fighting vehicles including a U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carrier, 18 motor vehicles, seven electronic warfare stations, three ammunition depots, and two materiel depots were neutralised.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have inflicted damage on the Ukrainian energy and railway infrastructure used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a military train with armoured vehicles, temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian Armed Forces and foreign mercenaries in 153 areas.

Air defence systems destroyed three guided aerial bombs and 206 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 97,303 unmanned aerial vehicles, 636 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,086 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,613 MLRS combat vehicles, 31,381 field artillery guns and mortars, and 46,993 units of support military vehicles have been neutralised.
