Russo-Ukraine War - 30 September 2025 - Day 1315

A number of claims and counterclaims are being made on the Ukraine-Russia conflict on the ground and online. While GlobalSecurity.org takes utmost care to accurately report this news story, we cannot independently verify the authenticity of all statements, photos and videos.

On 24 February 2022, Ukraine was suddenly and deliberately attacked by land, naval and air forces of Russia, igniting the largest European war since the Great Patriotic War. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" (SVO - spetsialnaya voennaya operatsiya) in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the "Donbass republics" for help. That attack is a blatant violation of the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Putin stressed that Moscow's goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country. The military buildup in preceeding months makes it obvious that the unprovoked and dastardly Russian attack was deliberately planned long in advance. During the intervening time, the Russian government had deliberately sought to deceive the world by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

"To initiate a war of aggression... is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." [Judgment of the International Military Tribunal]

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in total, since the beginning of this day, there have been 137 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders are decisively intercepting the attempts of the Russian enemy to advance deep into Ukrainian territory, giving him a fiery impression.

Today Russian troops launched 31 aviation strikes, dropping 55 controlled aviation bombs. In addition, they engaged 1552 kamikaze drones and carried out 2733 shelling positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

In the North Slobozhansky and Kursky directions, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five Russian assault actions since the beginning of the day, the battle is currently being sharpened. In addition, the enemy launched ten air strikes, dropping 19 controlled air bombs, and carrying out 117 shelling positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, nine of which were from open-fire jet systems.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy three times attacked the positions of Ukrainian units in the area of Vovchansky and Kamyanka.
In the direction of Kupyansk, the Russian aggressor carried out offensive actions in the areas of the settlement Kupyansk and towards Petropavlivka and Pi пany. Ukrainian defenders stopped three Russian attacks, two more combat continues.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked 13 times the positions of the Defense Forces near the settlements of Shandrigolove, Novomikhailivka, Grekivka, Kolodyazi, Yampolivka and towards Drobishevo, one fight is still ongoing.
Six assault actions were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Siversky direction - the Russian occupiers tried to advance towards Yampol, Dronivka and in the area of Serebryanka.
In the Kramators Краkomu direction, the Defense Forces repelled three Russian attacks in the area of the White Mountain and towards the Predtečinyo.
In the Toretsky direction, Russians 13 times went into offensive on the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Toretsk, Diliyivka, Yablunivka, Katerynivka, Rusynoy Yar and Poltavka. Ukrainian warriors stopped all enemy attacks.
In the Pokrovsky direction since the beginning of the day, the Russian occupiers 42 times tried to advance on the position of Ukrainian units. Russian forces attacked in the areas of settlements Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Rodinske, Chervony Liman, Novoekonomíčne, Mirolubivka, Ray, Fox, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotline, Udaachne, Molodetske, Gorihove and Philia. In some locations, the fights have not subsided yet.
According to preliminary data, today in this direction there were 138 Russian invaders, 82 of them - irrevocably. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed five units of car equipment and 15 BPLAs; two cars and five shelters for occupiers' personnel were also affected.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Russian enemy 20 times tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of the settlements of Green Gai, Piddubne, Vorone, Sosnivka, Sichneve, Kalinivskke, Ternove, Olgivskke and Novogrigorivka, three clashes are still ongoing.
Ukrainian defenders repelled the attack of the Russian occupiers in the Poltavka area in the direction of Gulyaipilsky.
In the Orihivsky direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three assault actions of the Russian zagarbnikív, in the area of Plavniv and towards Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.
In the Pridniprovsk direction, the Russian enemy made five futile attempts to approach Ukrainian positions.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

Units of the Sever Group of Forces inflicted losses on formations of two mechanised brigades, one jaeger brigade, one assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and one territorial defence brigade close to Pavlovka, Varachino, Novaya Sech, Kondratovka, and Andreyevka (Sumy region).

In Kharkov direction, Russian troops hit units of one motorised infantry brigade of the AFU and one territorial defence brigade near Volchansk and Bochkovo (Kharkov region).

The AFU losses were more than 180 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, 10 motor vehicles, one artillery gun, and four ammunition depots.

As a result of decisive actions, units of the Zapad Group of Forces liberated Kirovsk (Donetsk People's Republic).

Russian troops launched attacks on manpower and hardware of two mechanised brigades, one assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and one territorial defence brigade near Kupyansk, Petropavlovka, Sadovoye (Kharkov region), and Yampol (Donetsk People's Republic).

The enemy losses were more than 250 troops, one tank, two armoured fighting vehicles, 23 motor vehicles, and two field artillery guns. In addition, four electronic warfare stations and nine ammunition depots were neutralised.

As a result of decisive actions, the Yug Group of Forces' units liberated Seversk Maly (Donetsk People's Republic).

Russian troops delivered strikes at formations of three mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and one territorial defence brigade close to Ivanopolye, Pleshcheyevka, Aleksandro-Kalinovo, Berestok, and Stepanovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

The enemy losses were up to 245 troops, three armoured fighting vehicles, 13 motor vehicles, eight artillery guns, and five ammunition and materiel depots.

The Tsentr Group of Forces' units took more advantageous lines and positions. Russian troops hit manpower and hardware of three mechanised brigades, one air assault brigade, one assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and two National Guard brigades near Belitskoye, Annovka, Rubezhnoye, and Grishino (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses were up to 540 troops, four armoured fighting vehicles, eight motor vehicles, and one self-propelled artillery system.

The Vostok Group of Forces' units continued to advance into the depths of enemy defences. Russian troops inflicted fire damage on formations of two mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and one National Guard brigade near Alekseyevka, Velikomikhaylovka, Pokrovskoye (Dnepropetrovsk region), and Gorkoye (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses were more than 320 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, 12 motor vehicles, three field artillery guns, and one electronic warfare station.

The Dnepr Group of Forces' units launched attacks on manpower and hardware of two coastal defence brigades of the AFU and one territorial defence brigade near Malaya Tokmachka (Zaporozhye region), Lvovo, and Belozerka (Kherson region).

The AFU losses were up to 65 Ukrainian troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, six motor vehicles, seven electronic warfare stations, and one ammunition depot.

Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces inflicted fire damage on railway transport infrastructure facilities used to transfer weapons and fuel and lubricants to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, long-range unmanned aerial vehicles launch and storage points as well as temporary deployment areas of the AFU and foreign mercenaries in 154 areas.

Air defence systems shot down two Neptune long-range guided missiles and 128 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the enemy has lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 87,405 unmanned aerial vehicles, 631 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,304 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,592 MLRS combat vehicles, 30,078 field artillery guns and mortars, and 42,941 special military vehicles.
