Russo-Ukraine War - 12 July 2025 - Day 1235

A number of claims and counterclaims are being made on the Ukraine-Russia conflict on the ground and online. While GlobalSecurity.org takes utmost care to accurately report this news story, we cannot independently verify the authenticity of all statements, photos and videos.

On 24 February 2022, Ukraine was suddenly and deliberately attacked by land, naval and air forces of Russia, igniting the largest European war since the Great Patriotic War. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" (SVO - spetsialnaya voennaya operatsiya) in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the "Donbass republics" for help. That attack is a blatant violation of the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Putin stressed that Moscow's goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country. The military buildup in preceeding months makes it obvious that the unprovoked and dastardly Russian attack was deliberately planned long in advance. During the intervening time, the Russian government had deliberately sought to deceive the world by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

"To initiate a war of aggression... is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." [Judgment of the International Military Tribunal]

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in total, since the beginning of this day, there have been 151 combat encounters. Ukrainian defenders continue to decisively interrupt the attempts of the Russian enemy to advance deep into Ukrainian territory, giving him a fiery impression.

Russian invaders launched one massive missile aviation strike with 32 rockets and 70 air strikes, dropping 104 controlled aviation bombs. In addition, 1292 kamikaze drones were recruited and carried out 4066 shells on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

12 clashes took place in the North Slobozhansky and Kursky directions. The Russian enemy made eight aviation strikes, dropping fourteen controlled bombs, carried out 178 shelling, including eight - from jet systems of salpovogo fire.
In the South Slobozhansky direction since the beginning of the day, Russian forces carried out seven offensive actions in the areas of the settlements Vovchansk, Zelene and Chugunivka.
In the Kupyans Куkomu direction, Russian forces attacked near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Sand, Stepova Novoselivka, Green Grove - towards the settlement of Novoosinove - Ukrainian defenders stopped eight Russian attempts to advance.
In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders 23 times attacked the positions of Defense Forces in the areas of the settlements of Grekivka, Karpivka, New Mir, Kolodyazi, Green Valley, Torske, Dibrova and in the direction of the settlements Serebryanka and Dronivka. Six clashes have not subsided so far.
In the Sívers ваkomu direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assaults in the areas of Ivano-Dar'ivka and Viymka.
In the Kramatorsky direction, Russian forces four times stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of the settlements of Klishchievka and White Mountain. The Defense Forces have successfully repelled all attacks of the colonizers.
Eight times, Russians stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the Toretsky direction near the settlements of Diliyivka, Toretsk and in the direction of the settlements of Rusyn Yar, Stepanivka and Yablunivka. The three clashes are not over yet.
In the Pokrovsky direction from the beginning of this day, Russian forces attacked in the areas of Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Razine, Mirne, Novoekonomíčne, Mirolubivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udaachne, Gorihove, in the direction of the settlements Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Filia and Oleksiyivka. Ukrainian defenders have stopped 47 Russian assault actions, four more confrontations continue.
Today, according to preliminary data, 162 Russian occupants were defecated in this direction, 105 of them - irrevocably. Ukrainian soldiers destroyed one multi-purpose armored light tractor, 26 unmanned aircraft, one car, nine motorcycles, two satellite terminals, as well as two Russian radio-electronic combat stations.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces tried nine times to break through the defense of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of the settlements of Dachne, Filiya, Mirne, Shevchenko, Temirivka, Green Field and towards the settlement of Novopavlívka. Three clashes are currently underway.
In the direction of Gulyaipils пунkomu, Russian forces launched an airstrike on the area of the Charivne settlement.
In the Orihiv direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two Russian offensive actions in the Kamiansky area. Populated points of Novoandriivka and Plavni suffered aviation strikes by controlled bombs.
In the Pridniprovsky direction, the Russian enemy attacked eight times towards the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Antonivsky Bridge and the island of White Chest, so far one confrontation is ongoing. At the same time, Russian forces caused an air strike on the Cossack.
