Russo-Ukraine War - 18 June 2025 - Day 1211

A number of claims and counterclaims are being made on the Ukraine-Russia conflict on the ground and online. While GlobalSecurity.org takes utmost care to accurately report this news story, we cannot independently verify the authenticity of all statements, photos and videos.

On 24 February 2022, Ukraine was suddenly and deliberately attacked by land, naval and air forces of Russia, igniting the largest European war since the Great Patriotic War. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" (SVO - spetsialnaya voennaya operatsiya) in Ukraine in response to the appeal of the leaders of the "Donbass republics" for help. That attack is a blatant violation of the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Putin stressed that Moscow's goal is the demilitarization and denazification of the country. The military buildup in preceeding months makes it obvious that the unprovoked and dastardly Russian attack was deliberately planned long in advance. During the intervening time, the Russian government had deliberately sought to deceive the world by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

"To initiate a war of aggression... is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." [Judgment of the International Military Tribunal]

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in total, since the beginning of this day, there have been 136 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders continue to decisively interrupt the attempts of the Russian enemy to advance deep into Ukrainian territory, giving him a fiery impression.

Russian zagarbniki caused 32 aviation strikes, dropping 43 controlled bombs. In addition, 982 kamikaze drones were recruited and carried out 3,634 shells on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

In the North Slobozhansky and Kursky directions, there have been 28 clashes with Russian zagarbnikami, one of which is ongoing so far. The Russian enemy launched seven aerial strikes, dropped 11 controlled bombs, carried out 192 artillery shells, including six from the reactive systems of salpovogo fire.
Today, Russian forces attacked eight times in the South Slobozhansky direction, in the districts of Vovchansk, Liptsiv and Dovgenky, in addition, launched an air strike on the area of the settlement Lobanivka.
In the direction of Kupyans відkomu, Russian forces made two attacks in the direction of Stepova Novoselivka and near Zagrizovoye - received a cut.
In the Lymanian direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 assaults in the areas of the settlements of New Mir, Olgivka, Grekivka, Lindpove, Green Valley, Torsk and in the directions of Shandrigolovy and Karpivka. Another battle is still going on.

In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this day, the Russian enemy attacked 40 times in the areas of populated areas Malinivka, Lisivka, Mirolubivka, Mirne, Ray, Novopavlivka, Mirnograd, Udaachne, Novosergiyivka, Kotlyarivka, Oleksiyivka and in the direction of Novopídgirny, Poltavka, Popovoy Yar. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 36 attacks, four more confrontations continue so far.
Today in this direction, according to preliminary data, 184 Russian occupants were defecated, of which 95 - irrevocably. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a combat armored car, eight antennas and a retransmitter, eight motorcycles, a radio-electronic combat station, ten cars, four satellite terminals, 34 unmanned aircraft. In the Novopavliv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks of the Russian attackers in the areas of Zaporizhia Bagatir, Merry, Peaceful, Free, Novosilka, Free Field and Shevchenko. Two clashes are still ongoing. The settlements of Novodarivka and Olgivka suffered an aviation strike.
In the Gulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled one Russian assault near Malinivka, in addition, the enemy launched air strikes on Gulyaipol, Uspenivka and Malinivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack in the direction of Scherbak.
In the Pridniprovsky direction of the air strike suffered a settlement in Lviv.
