More than half a million people are displaced in Lebanon, with 285,000 having left the country, 40 percent of whom are Lebanese citizens, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on 05 October 2024. Israeli occupation's attempts to penetrate Lebanese territory are focused on the neighboring towns of Adaisseh and Kfar Kila, Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun al-Mallasfa.

Explosions were heard in Beirut after the Israeli army warned to evacuate buildings in a number of neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital. The goal of the drones was to damage the underground headquarters of the Hezbollah units in southern Lebanon; Nasser, Badr and Aziz as well as Radwan forces in the area. For years, Hezbollah's Southern Front built an extensive array of infrastructure and underground headquarters in southern Lebanon aimed at harming IDF forces during combat and carrying out an attack plan against the Galilee settlements. The fighter jets launched a series of attacks in order to destroy these infrastructures and eliminate the terrorists and the commanders who resided in them and conducted the fighting against the State of Israel from them. The attacks help the IDF ground forces, which operate in southern Lebanon, this is another part of the change in the security reality in the north. According to estimates made in the last day, 50 infrastructures of the 'Aziz' unit, 30 targets of the 'Nasser' unit and 5 targets of the 'Badar' unit were destroyed in the attacks. In addition, about 10 targets of the Radwan force, the intelligence headquarters and about 30 targets of the medium-range rocket array in southern Lebanon were attacked.

The commanders who lead the fighting against Israel in the south were also responsible for the implementation of the "Conquest of the Galilee" plan.
