• 19 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES RESPOND TO IRAQI THREATS IN SOUTHERN NO-FLY ZONE 19 Mar 2003 -- In response to Iraqi hostile actions against Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target several Iraqi military targets in southern and western Iraq.
• 19 Mar 2003 - COALITION TELLS IRAQI TROOPS HOW TO AVOID BEING HARMED 19 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped leaflets today designed to explain to Iraqi military troops how to avoid being harmed by Coalition troops in the case of a Coalition invasion.
• 19 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP NEARLY 2 MILLION LEAFLETS INTO IRAQ 19 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped 1,980,000 informational leaflets into Iraq today. Today's leaflet drop was the largest to date - larger than yesterday's drop of 1.4 million leaflets.
• 17 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 17 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped 360,000 informational leaflets over southern Iraq today.
• 17 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP MORE THAN 1.4 MILLION LEAFLETS INTO IRAQ 17 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped 1,440,000 informational leaflets into western and southern Iraq today. Today's leaflet drop was the largest to date.

• 15 Mar 2003 - COALITION DROPS NEARLY A MILLION LEAFLETS 15 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped nearly a million informational leaflets in southern Iraq today. The drops were part of an ongoing effort to protect Iraqi lives and deter Iraqi aggression by providing factual information to Iraqi civilians and military troops.
• 14 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI RADAR SYSTEMS 14 Mar 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile target acquisition radar and an early warning radar, located approximately 230 miles west of Baghdad. The strikes occurred between 9:00 and 9:20 a.m., EST.
• 13 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI RADAR SYSTEM 13 Mar 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats while monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a radar site in western Iraq, approximately 265 miles southwest of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 4 p.m. EST.
• 10 Mar 2003 - COALITION CONTINUES INFO CAMPAIGN; DROPS NEARLY 1 MILLION LEAFLETS 10 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped nearly 1 million informational leaflets in southern Iraq today. The drops were part of an ongoing effort to protect Iraqi lives and deter Iraqi aggression by providing relevant, factual information to both Iraqi civilians and military troops.
• 10 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI COMMUNICATIONS SITES 10 Mar 2003 -- In response to Iraqi hostile actions toward Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation Southern Watch Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target three unmanned, underground military communication sites. The communication sites enhanced Iraqi forces' ability to command and control air defenses that threaten Coalition aircraft.
• 10 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE RADAR SYSTEM 10 Mar 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a target acquisition surface-to-air radar system, located approximately 230 miles west of Baghdad, and south of Ar Rutbah. The strike occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m., EST.
• 10 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 10 Mar 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets today over Southern Iraq.
• 09 Mar 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI COMMUNICATIONS SITES 09 Mar 2003 -- In response to Iraqi hostile actions toward Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target five unmanned, underground military communication sites. The communication sites were located near An Numinayah, approximately 60 miles southeast of Baghdad. The Coalition struck those targets at approximately 3 p.m. EST.

The strike occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m., EST.

• 28 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI AIR-DEFENSE RADARS, SAM SYSTEM 28 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target three mobile air-defense early-warning radars and a surface-to-air missile system in southern Iraq, south of the 33rd Parallel. The radars and SAM system were located near An Nasiriyah, approximately 170 miles southwest of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m., EST.
• 28 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 28 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped 120,000 informational leaflets over southern Iraq today.
• 27 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 27 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped 240,000 informational leaflets over southern Iraq today. Coalition aircraft dropped the leaflets at approximately 4:45 p.m. EST over Al Hafayan, An Nasiriyah, Ar Rumaylah and Al Basrah, all southeast of Baghdad.
• 27 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI RADAR, COMMUNICATIONS SITE 27 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to strike two targets in southern Iraq. Coalition forces targeted an early-warning radar at approximately 2:05 p.m. EST and a communications facility at approximately 6:30 p.m. EST. Both targets were located near Al Basrah, approximately 250 miles southeast of Baghdad.
• 27 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI COMMAND AND COMMUNICATION SITES 27 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target two Iraqi cable repeater sites used for communications in targeting Coalition aircraft. The targets were located between Baghdad and Al Kut, approximately 90 miles southeast of Baghdad and between Al Kut and An Nasiriyah, located approximately 170 miles southeast from Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 8:35 a.m. EST.
• 25 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE SURFACE-TO-SURFACE MISSILE SYSTEM 25 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition forces monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile surface-to-surface missile system. The missile system was located near Al Basrah, approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m., EST.
• 25 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE SURFACE-TO-AIR-MISSILE SYSTEM 25 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile surface-to-air missile system. The missile system was located near Al Basrah, approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m., EST.
• 24 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 24 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over southern Iraq today. Coalition forces dropped leaflets at approximately 5:00 p.m. EST at several locations near Al Kut, Az Zubayr, Qalat Salih, Salman Az Azhir and AL Basrah. All locations are south of Baghdad. The Coalition dropped a total of 360,000 leaflets over the locations.
• 23 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 23 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over southern Iraq today.
• 22 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI COMMAND AND COMMUNICATION SITES 22 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target six unmanned cable repeater sites that can be used for communications in targeting Coalition aircraft. The cable repeater sites were located between Al Kut, approximately 95 miles southeast of Baghdad, and Al Basrah, approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. EST.
• 18 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE AIR DEFENSE RADAR AND SURFACE TO SURFACE MISSILE SYSTEMS 18 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH, Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target an Iraqi mobile air defense early warning radar and a mobile multiple-rocket system. Both the mobile air defense radar and the rocket system were located near Al Basrah, approximately 250 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. EST.
• 17 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE SURFACE-TO-AIR-MISSILE RADAR 17 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile air-defense early-warning radar that provided information to the Iraqi air-defense network. The radar was located near Ar Rutbah, approximately 250 miles southwest of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 4:10 p.m., EST.
• 16 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI COMMAND AND COMMUNICATION SITES 16 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target five cable repeater sites that can be used for communications in targeting Coalition aircraft. The cable repeater sites were located between Al Kut, approximately 95 miles southeast of Baghdad and An Nasiriyah, located approximately 170 miles southeast of Baghdad, and between Al Kut and Al Basrah, located approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. EST.

• 12 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI SURFACE-TO-SURFACE MISSILE SYSTEM 12 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition forces monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target elements of Iraqi military surface-to-surface missile systems in southern Iraq.
• 12 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN IRAQ 12 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over central and southern Iraq today. Coalition forces dropped leaflets at approximately 3:25 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. EST at several locations near Al Hillah, Al Qasim, Madhatiyah, Al Hashimiyah, all approximately 65 miles south of Baghdad. Other leaflet drops also occurred over Safwan, Al Basrah and Az Zubayr, all approximately 245 southeast of Baghdad. The Coalition dropped a total of 480,000 leaflets over the locations.

• 8 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MILITARY AIR DEFENSE COMMAND AND CONTROL FACILITY 08 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target an Iraqi military mobile command and control facility. The facility was located near Al Kut, approximately 95 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. EST.
• 8 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 08 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over southern Iraq today. Coalition forces dropped leaflets at approximately 5:00 a.m. EST at several locations near An Numaniyah, Al Kut, Al Amarah and Al Qurnah. The Coalition dropped a total of 480,000 leaflets over the locations, between An Numaniyah, which is located approximately 70 miles southeast of Baghdad, Al Kut which is 95 miles southeast of Baghdad, Al Amarah which is located approximately 165 miles southeast of Baghdad and Al Qurnah which is located approximately 200 miles southeast of Baghdad.
• 6 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 06 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over southern Iraq today. Coalition forces dropped leaflets at approximately 2:30 a.m. EST at several locations near Al Basrah, Az Zubayr, Umm Qasr and An Nasiriyah. The Coalition dropped a total of 480,000 leaflets over the locations, between An Nasiriyah, which is located approximately 170 miles southeast of Baghdad, and Al Basrah, which is located approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad.
