Coalition aircraft dropped the leaflets at approximately 4:45 p.m. EST over Al Hafayan, An Nasiriyah, Ar Rumaylah and Al Basrah, all southeast of Baghdad.
- 27 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI RADAR, COMMUNICATIONS SITE 27 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to strike two targets in southern Iraq. Coalition forces targeted an early-warning radar at approximately 2:05 p.m. EST and a communications facility at approximately 6:30 p.m. EST. Both targets were located near Al Basrah, approximately 250 miles southeast of Baghdad.
- 27 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI COMMAND AND COMMUNICATION SITES 27 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target two Iraqi cable repeater sites used for communications in targeting Coalition aircraft. The targets were located between Baghdad and Al Kut, approximately 90 miles southeast of Baghdad and between Al Kut and An Nasiriyah, located approximately 170 miles southeast from Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 8:35 a.m. EST.
- 25 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE SURFACE-TO-SURFACE MISSILE SYSTEM 25 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition forces monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile surface-to-surface missile system. The missile system was located near Al Basrah, approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m., EST.
- 25 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE SURFACE-TO-AIR-MISSILE SYSTEM 25 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile surface-to-air missile system. The missile system was located near Al Basrah, approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m., EST.
- 24 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN SOUTHERN IRAQ 24 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over southern Iraq today. Coalition forces dropped leaflets at approximately 5:00 p.m. EST at several locations near Al Kut, Az Zubayr, Qalat Salih, Salman Az Azhir and AL Basrah. All locations are south of Baghdad. The Coalition dropped a total of 360,000 leaflets over the locations.

The cable repeater sites were located between Al Kut, approximately 95 miles southeast of Baghdad, and Al Basrah, approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. EST.
- 18 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE AIR DEFENSE RADAR AND SURFACE TO SURFACE MISSILE SYSTEMS 18 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH, Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target an Iraqi mobile air defense early warning radar and a mobile multiple-rocket system. Both the mobile air defense radar and the rocket system were located near Al Basrah, approximately 250 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. EST.
- 17 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MOBILE SURFACE-TO-AIR-MISSILE RADAR 17 Feb 2003 -- In response to Iraqi threats to Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target a mobile air-defense early-warning radar that provided information to the Iraqi air-defense network. The radar was located near Ar Rutbah, approximately 250 miles southwest of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 4:10 p.m., EST.

- 12 Feb 2003 - COALITION FORCES DROP LEAFLETS IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN IRAQ 12 Feb 2003 -- Coalition aircraft dropped informational leaflets over central and southern Iraq today. Coalition forces dropped leaflets at approximately 3:25 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. EST at several locations near Al Hillah, Al Qasim, Madhatiyah, Al Hashimiyah, all approximately 65 miles south of Baghdad. Other leaflet drops also occurred over Safwan, Al Basrah and Az Zubayr, all approximately 245 southeast of Baghdad. The Coalition dropped a total of 480,000 leaflets over the locations.

The facility was located near Al Kut, approximately 95 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. EST.

The Coalition dropped a total of 480,000 leaflets over the locations, between An Numaniyah, which is located approximately 70 miles southeast of Baghdad, Al Kut which is 95 miles southeast of Baghdad, Al Amarah which is located approximately 165 miles southeast of Baghdad and Al Qurnah which is located approximately 200 miles southeast of Baghdad.

The Coalition dropped a total of 480,000 leaflets over the locations, between An Nasiriyah, which is located approximately 170 miles southeast of Baghdad, and Al Basrah, which is located approximately 245 miles southeast of Baghdad.
