  • Ukraine's Antonov aircraft producer to compete for multi-billion U.S. tanker tender RIA Novosti 04 Oct 2010 -- Ukraine's state-run Antonov aircraft producer will compete with U.S. aerospace giant Boeing and Europe's EADS in a multi-billion tender to supply almost 180 airborne refueling tankers to the United States Air Force (USAF), Antonov's President and General Designer Dmitry Kiva said on Monday.
  • EADS North America receives the first phase of a $152 million U.S. Army contract to equip UH-72A Lakotas for Security and Support Battalion missions EADS 04 Oct 2010 -- he U.S. Army has awarded EADS North America a $67 million contract for the supply of Mission Equipment Packages (MEP) on UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopters to be operated by Army National Guard Security and Support Battalions (S&S Battalions). This contract award is the first phase of a total contract value estimated to be approximately $152 million.
  • Boeing Receives Contract for Apache Helicopter Rotor Heads Boeing 04 Oct 2010 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] today announced that the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Aviation has awarded the company a three-year contract to manufacture spare main rotor heads for the U.S. Army's fleet of Apache attack helicopters. The fixed-price contract calls for an initial 100 main rotor heads, at a value of $31 million, and allows for 50 additional rotor heads, which would increase the contract value to $48 million.
  • First CF6-powered C-5M Delivered to United States Air Force GE Aviation 04 Oct 2010 -- The first production Lockheed Martin C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft, powered by four CF6-80C2 engines, was delivered to the United States Air Force Friday in ceremonies attended by officials from Air Mobility Command, Air Force Material Command and Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.
  • SAIC Awarded Contract by the Naval Air Systems Command SAIC 04 Oct 2010 -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a follow-on contract by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide financial, program, and business analysis support to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's (NAWCAD) Comptroller Department and Program and Business Analysis Division, also known as the Business and Financial Management Community (BFMC). The multiple-award contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total value of more than $49 million for all awardees, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md. and Lakehurst, N.J.
