Ahmadinejad turns down Obama's anti-Iran claims
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Oct. 4, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Sunday dismissed the US President Barack Obama's recent 'sub-standard' anti-Iran claims in interviews with the British media.
In a meeting with a group of Majlis deputies here on Sunday, President Ahmadinejad also underlined futility of the anti-Iran sanctions of the western states, saying the arrogant powers have mobilized all their financial facilities with the vain hope of defeating the country but to no avail.
He said Iranians are today extremely self-confident, something unprecedented throughout history.
He then referred to his UN General Assembly remarks on the 9/11 incident, saying his speech put a big question before ideology of the capitalist system and the capitalist states are now unable to show the least reaction against the issue.
He said major developments are taking place around the world and Iran should have a grave role in the process.
