Salehi: Main fuel transfer slated for mid Oct.

Tehran, Oct. 4, IRNA -- Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali-Akbar Salehi said here on Sunday that Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant's main fuel will be transferred to heart of the reactor by almost mid October.
Salehi further told IRNA that heart of Tehran Research Reactor has been washed and works well.
Asked about the reason for changing the date for transfer of the main fuel to heart of the power plant from late September to mid October, Salehi said before loading the main fuel and after washing heart of the reactor, the physical reactions and tests start.
He said while washing, a small leak was observed in the pool beside the reactor and it was blocked. 'The leakage postponed the activities by several days.'
Salehi reiterated that the nuclear plant was in proper condition and 15 experimental fuel rods had been also loaded into the core of the reactor and then removed.
Meanwhile, Salehi dismissed as false speculations that the Stuxnet virus was the cause of the delay of the reactor.
