- MBDA launches production of the first SIMBAD-RC prototype EADS 25 Oct 2010 -- SIMBAD-RC is a weapon system comprising one or two twin-MISTRAL missile (very short range anti-air missile) turrets, remotely controlled from a small operating console sheltered from bad weather conditions. - Lockheed Martin Delivers First MEADS Intra-Fire Unit Communications Hardware Lockheed Martin 25 Oct 2010 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] recently delivered the first two intra-fire unit communications hardware components for the tri-national Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS).
