T-55 Exports

  • Azerbaijan : as of mid-2009 in service with 100 pieces of T-54 and T-55.
  • Algeria: as of 2007 armed with 270 T-54/55.
  • Angola: as of 2007 armed with about 200 T-54/55.
  • Afghanistan: as of 2007 some remained.
  • Bangladesh: 2007 - armed with 100 T-54/55.
  • Belarus: 1992 - had 443 T-55 (later sent to the storage and disposal) in the decay of the USSR Armed Forces in Belarus.
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina: in 2007 were armed with 3 T-54 and 75 T-55.

  • Egypt: In 1967 June, during the 6-day Arab-Israeli war in the Sinai Peninsula, Israel captured 291 tanks T-54. From 1967-1973 the USSR delivered to Egypt 1260 T-54 and T-55.   • Peru : 2007 - armed with 275 T-54/55 (out of about 200 combat-ready units). By 2010 there were in service up to 300 T-55 tanks. In October 2010 Peru initiated testing tank Tifon-2 / T-55M8A2 created on the basis of T-55 and the Peruvian company DISCA Kharkov KBM im.Morozova.
