Project 50 Riga class - Disposition
The total of guard ships built from 1954 to 1959 was 68 units. The distribution of ships in the fleets indicates 72 entries, reflecting the transfer of units between fleets. Once out of commission, vessels were transferred to the OFI [ = Otdel Fondovogo Imushestva = Department of Stock Property] for disposition.
Black Sea Fleet
- GORNOSTAY (factory number 1120) was removed from service on December 1, 1962, put into conservation first in Sevastopol, then from September 10, 1968 in Ochakovo, and on May 22, 1972 in Donuzlav, on February 15, 1989 it was mothballed and again enlisted in the fleet, on June 24, 1991, expelled from the Navy in connection with the surrender to the OFI for dismantling and sale, on October 1, 1991 it was disbanded and cut in the autumn of 1992 in Sevastopol;
- “JAGUAR” / “Komsomolets of Georgia” (serial No. 1123) was withdrawn from service on June 28, 1977, disarmed and reorganized into OS-188, on August 13, 1987, was excluded from the list of Navy trial vessels in connection with the surrender to the OFI for dismantling and implementation ; October 1, 1988 disbanded and later cut into metal in Sevastopol;
