SUBCOURSE OVERVIEW

This subcourse is designed to teach the basic concepts and applications of electronic warfare, including the evolution of electronic warfare and the methods employed in conducting offensive electronic warfare operations.

The prerequisite for this subcourse is that you are a graduate of the Signal Officer Basic Course or its equivalent.

This subcourse reflects the doctrine which was current at the time it was prepared. In your own work situation, always refer to the latest official publications.

Unless this publication states otherwise, masculine nouns and pronouns do not refer exclusively to men.

TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE

ACTION: You will identify the components of electronic warfare, describe the concepts of offensive electronic warfare, and the methods electronic warfare may apply to disrupt the electromagnetic environment or otherwise confuse the ability of commanders to interpret the battlefield situation.
CONDITION: Given this subcourse.
STANDARD: To demonstrate competency, you must achieve a minimum of 70% on the subcourse examination.
