  • Boeing Receives US Army Contract for Tactical Intelligence Aircraft Boeing 06 Dec 2010 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] today announced that it has received a two-year engineering and manufacturing development contract for the Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS) from the U.S. Army. EMARSS is a manned, airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system. It will provide a persistent capability to detect, locate, classify/identify and track surface targets in nearly all weather conditions, day or night, with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy.
  • Lockheed Martin Team Completes GeoEye-2 Preliminary Design Review Ahead of Schedule Lockheed Martin 06 Dec 2010 -- The Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] team designing GeoEye’s (NASDAQ: GEOY) next-generation, high-resolution imaging satellite, known as GeoEye-2, successfully completed the program’s Preliminary Design Review (PDR) three weeks ahead of the planned schedule. The successful PDR completion validated the spacecraft’s design maturity, meeting or exceeding all GeoEye standards and program requirements.
