G5+1 approach to Iran should be based on constructive cooperation
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Monday that the 5+1 Group should adopt an approach based on constructive cooperation.
Talking to IRNA, he added that it is obvious that the attitude of 5+1 Group will determine the results of the talks.
He also said that the other party should know that the Iranian representatives will never compromise the nation's rights to nuclear energy.
If the talks do not produce desirable results, then the negotiating countries are to blame, he said, recommending them to make the optimal use of the opportunity available to them.
Mehmanparast also said that western countries had better compensate for the policies which have created tension and crisis in different parts of the world by takign advantage of Iran's strong presence in the region as well as contribution of other independent states.
If 5+1 member states adopt a policy based on mutual respect for nations' rights and their contribution to solving global problems, serious steps in line with establishing peace and stability will hopefully be taken, Mehmanparast said.
