Jalili criticizes G5+1 silence toward terror of Iranian scientists

Geneva, Dec 6, IRNA -- Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili on Monday criticized the Group 5+1 for keeping silent toward assassination of Iranian scientists.

He made the statement in reference to the terrorist attacks against Iranian scientists last week which killed a noted Iranian scientist Majid Shahriari and wounded another scientist Fereydoun Abbasi Davani.

The challenge facing the world is that there are some people who resort to terrorism when they fail logically, he said.

Jalili said that the Iranian nation is a major victim of terrorism and that some 13,000 Iranian citizens have lost t heir lives in terror attacks perpetrated by the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) which is backed by the West.

Jalili clarified that head of MI6 John Sawers had obviously spoken of intelligence operations in Iran several weeks ago and after the terror attacks, the official website of the Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote in an article that the terror attack aimed to deal blow to Iran's nuclear program.

The Iranian chief nuclear negotiator wondered why the world has kept silent toward such heinous acts.

The first round of talks between Saeed Jalili and representative of Group 5+1 Catherine Ashton concluded on Monday. IRNA reporter in Geneva said that they will proceed with the talks later in the day.
