Charlie Company, NMCB 28
Charlie Company is responsible for performing all vertical construction during the battalion's deployment. Personnel assigned to Charlie Company are either Builders [BU] (people trained in carpentry, masonry, concrete work, and roofing) or Steelworkers [SW] (people trained in welding, structural steel erection, sheet metal fabrication and rigging.)
Now that one field exercise is over, we begin training for the next. The men and women assigned to Charlie Company are well along with their military and construction training. All personnel requalify annually at the range with their assigned weapon. Those assigned to a Crew Served weapon have double the fun. Other yearly qualifications that Charlie Company personnel are completing include Basic Combat Skills and Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist (SCWS).
