Internal Troops - Regional Commands
To control the formation of internal troops, regional commanders in the territories of the same name were created along the lines of Russian federal districts. An exception is the Eastern Regional Command, which controls the formation of internal troops stationed in the Far East Federal District, as well as the North-Caucasian regional command, which is included in the zone of responsibility Southern and Crimean Federal District. A total of seven Federal District regional commands were created.
