  • PAKISTAN/AL-QAIDA HUNT VOA 13 Nov 2004 -- Pakistan's military says it has flushed out hundreds of al-Qaida-linked militants from its semi-autonomous South Waziristan tribal area bordering Afghanistan. But there is still no sign of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
  • INDIA KASHMIR TROOPS VOA 12 Nov 2004 -- India has announced it will reduce troops in the disputed region of Kashmir in the next few months because of a decline in separatist violence. Pakistan and Kashmiri leaders are praising the decision and say it could give a boost to the peace talks.
  • Pakistan N-scientist Dr Khan`s petition rejected IRNA 10 Nov 2004 -- Pakistan Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed an application, seeking release of the founder of the country`s nuclear program Dr Abdul Qadir Khan, who has not been seen in public since he confessed of leaking nuclear secrets outside in February this year.
  • PAKISTAN / ARMITAGE VOA 09 Nov 2004 -- U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage says Washington wants to further strengthen ties with Pakistan - a key anti-terrorism ally. Mr. Armitage held what he termed "wide-ranging" discussions with leaders in Pakistan.
  • AFGHAN/PAKISTAN VOA 06 Nov 2004 -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has personally congratulated Afghan leader Hamid Karzai on his victory in last month's presidential election. During a day-long trip to Kabul Saturday, the Pakistani leader said the two neighbors must increase cooperation in the war on terror to ensure success.
