  • Abu Ghraib Trials Moved to Fort Hood MNF-I/MNC-I 11 Nov 2004 -- The General Court-Martial Convening Authority has elected to relocate the trials of United States vs. Sgt. Javal Davis, United States vs. Spc. Charles Graner, and United States vs. Spc. Sabrina Harman to Fort Hood, Texas.

  • IRAQ RECONSTRUCTION / USAID VOA 11 Nov 2004 -- The U.S. Agency for International Development says it has spent or committed more than five billion dollars for reconstruction efforts in Iraq, making it the agency's largest aid plan since World War Two.
  • IRAQI POLICE GRADUATE 2,500 FROM BASIC TRAINING CENTCOM 11 Nov 2004 -- The Iraqi Police Service graduated nearly 2,500 officers from Basic Police Training courses this week as the Iraqi government continues the police force training effort in the country.
  • Iraq: Many Challenges To Be Overcome On Road To January Elections RFE/RL 11 Nov 2004 -- Iraq is planning a first round of elections in January to choose a National Assembly that, among other things, will undertake the writing of the country's first post-Saddam constitution. There are many challenges to be met in the run-up to the poll. One of the biggest is securing restive areas of Iraq sufficiently enough to ensure full nationwide participation. But there are a host of other issues as well, ranging from forming candidate lists to informing voters about the polling process.
