- IRAQ WRAP VOA 11 Nov 2004 -- The Pentagon's top general says U.S.-led forces in Fallujah now control about 70-percent of the city and have captured or killed hundreds of insurgents even as tough street battles continue. On the fourth full day of the ground assault, insurgents struck back with fresh attacks in other parts of Iraq, including in Baghdad where a car bomb killed at least 17 people.
- Marine General: Fallujah Operations 'Ahead of Schedule' AFPS 11 Nov 2004 -- Military operations to retake the insurgent-held Iraqi city of Fallujah are progressing "ahead of schedule," a top U.S. Marine commander there said today.
- Al-Fallujah Offensive Continues RFE/RL 11 Nov 2004 -- U.S. warplanes and artillery bombarded Al-Fallujah today as U.S. and Iraqi ground troops continue fighting to drive militants from the city.
- Iraq: Car Bomb Rocks Central Baghdad As Al-Fallujah Fight Enters 'Final Phase' RFE/RL 11 Nov 2004 -- A car bomb killed at least seven people in a crowded commercial district of central Baghdad today. The attack came as U.S. and allied Iraqi government troops in Al-Fallujah moved into what is being called the "final phase" of an operation aimed at clearing militants from the city.
- IRAQI POLICE COMMANDOS, GUARD SWEEP AMIRIYYA CENTCOM 11 Nov 2004 -- The Ministry of the Interior's 3rd Police Commando Battalion conducted a cordon-and-search sweep operation through Baghdad's Amiriyya district today with the Iraqi National Guard's 303rd Battalion and multinational force elements, seizing weapons and explosives in the home-to-home searches.
- IRAQI SECURITY FORCES, MULTI-NATIONAL FORCES CONDUCTING OPERATIONS IN MOSUL CENTCOM 11 Nov 2004 -- In response to a request by Ninevah Provincial Governor, Duraid Kashmoula, Iraqi National Guard soldiers and Multi-National Forces from the 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) initiated offensive operations in southeastern and southwestern Mosul at about 1 p.m. on Nov. 11 against known concentrations of insurgents.
- CAR BOMB WOUNDS 30; CASUALTY COUNT GROWS CENTCOM 11 Nov 2004 -- A car bomb detonated at approximately 11:15 p.m. today, wounding 30 civilians.
- First Infantry Division Detains 19; Destroy VCIED in Four Different Operations MNF-I/MNC-I 11 Nov 2004 -- Soldiers detained 17 individuals during a large search in Yethrib at about 10:30 p.m., on Nov. 10. The search was conducted to kill or capture members of an insurgent IED cell. Those detained were questioned on site.
- Violence In Iraq As Al-Fallujah Assault Continues RFE/RL 11 Nov 2004 -- A car bomb near a police patrol in central Baghdad killed at least seven people today, as the U.S.-led assault continues on the city of Al-Fallujah.

- IRAQI POLICE GRADUATE 2,500 FROM BASIC TRAINING CENTCOM 11 Nov 2004 -- The Iraqi Police Service graduated nearly 2,500 officers from Basic Police Training courses this week as the Iraqi government continues the police force training effort in the country.
- Iraq: Many Challenges To Be Overcome On Road To January Elections RFE/RL 11 Nov 2004 -- Iraq is planning a first round of elections in January to choose a National Assembly that, among other things, will undertake the writing of the country's first post-Saddam constitution. There are many challenges to be met in the run-up to the poll. One of the biggest is securing restive areas of Iraq sufficiently enough to ensure full nationwide participation. But there are a host of other issues as well, ranging from forming candidate lists to informing voters about the polling process.
