The document, released in Washington August 8, presents highlights of the coalition's efforts to establish security, economic growth and democracy following the toppling of Saddam Hussein.

  • Iraq: Dutch Concerned About Deleted Uranium Ammo As Troops Deploy RFE/RL 08 Aug 2003 -- A contingent of Dutch soldiers is currently deploying to the Iraqi city of Al-Samawah as part of the U.S.-led multinational stabilization force. But the location of their base is causing concern in the Netherlands. Some Dutch lawmakers are questioning whether U.S. troops used depleted uranium ammunition in the city during their invasion of Iraq in March.
