M/V Sparta II

In June 2024, Oboronlogistics registered a new shipping line, SK YUG Line, so that the company's vessels could continue operating between the sea ports of St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad (Baltiysk). On July 5, the dry cargo ship Sparta II, owned by Oboronlogistics, entered service, thereby resuming work on delivering cargo between the Kaliningrad Region and the main territory of Russia. On its first round trip, the ship will transport 3.2 thousand, including 36 units of rolling equipment and 175 containers.

Previously, since October 2022, the Sparta II vessel was deployed on the route between St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad under the management of FSUE Rosmorport. During this time, it transported more than 210 thousand tons of cargo.

"Sparta II" has a cargo hold and decks for placing containers and rolling equipment. The presence of ship cranes and a stern ramp allows for vertical and horizontal cargo handling. The length of the vessel is 121.7 m, the width is 18.7 m. At maximum load, "Sparta II" has a deadweight of 8 thousand tons, a draft of 7 m and a speed of 11 knots.

Currently, two dry cargo ships of Oboronlogistics, Pizhma and Sparta II, as well as the ferry Ambal on the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk railway and ferry line, operated between the ports of St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad (Baltiysk).
