Hermes - Izdeliye 70 / 305 (Product 70 / 305)

Variants
  • "Hermes" is a variant of an ATGM system for the ground forces with the placement of the complex's assets on a wheeled combat vehicle.
  • "Hermes-A" / "Klevok-A" - an aviation version of the ATGM for arming helicopters in the future. The name "Klevok-A" was first mentioned in the media at least in 2009. It would arm Ka-52A helicopter - 4 launchers, 2 ATGMs each - a total of 8 units (theoretically - up to 16 units);
  • "Hermes-S" - a variant of the ATGM for coastal defense and other purposes with a stationary launcher. The rest is similar to the Hermes complex.
  • "Hermes-K" is a shipborne ATGM / multipurpose guided weapon system. There are two variants of launch stages for using missiles of the complex at a range of up to 20 km (standard configuration) and up to 100 km (high power launch stage). According to the advertising materials of the KBP, two types of PU are supposed - a rack-mount type for 4 TPK and with the placement of 4 TPK on brackets on the body of the artillery mount
  • ATGM "Hermes" / "Hermes-S" - wheeled combat vehicle on the KamAZ chassis, 24 TPK in two packages of 12 pcs. The BM is equipped with an ATGM guidance system radar, a laser designator. The complex also includes a fire control vehicle with a lifting-mast device for multichannel, multispectral optical-electronic and radar reconnaissance equipment. The machine is designed for reconnaissance, target detection and recognition, target distribution and target designation. Perhaps, there is also a combat vehicle in the project - a launcher without target designation means.
composition of the complex
  • guided missile ammunition in transport and launch containers (TLC) with three types of homing heads (semi-active laser, infrared, radar);
  • combat vehicle with a package-type launcher (24 TPK each) with on-board reconnaissance and laser target illumination;
  • fire control vehicle with a lifting-mast device for multi-channel, multi-spectral optical-electronic and radar reconnaissance equipment, which is designed for reconnaissance, detection and recognition of targets, target distribution and target designation .
  • FUNCTIONAL COMPOSITION
  • stabilized day-night optical-electronic system with television and thermal imaging channels (information exchange standard MIL STD 1553);
  • an associated computer system with a two-channel laser target designator and automatic target tracking;
  • additional equipment (multifunctional color liquid crystal display and control panel, means of display and documentation).
  • FEATURES
  • the possibility of firing from prepared and unprepared firing positions, including from closed ones according to the "fire and forget" principle,
  • fire in a salvo with individual guidance on elements of a group target (2 SD in a salvo with a semi-active laser homing head and up to 12 SD in a salvo when using autonomous homing heads);
  • all-weather action in real combat conditions;
  • the possibility of flexible tactical interaction with attached ground-based and air-based reconnaissance and control systems;
  • placment on combat vehicles of various classes.
  • Status
  • 1996-1997 - R&D, possibly tests.
  • 2003 summer - completed tests of the Hermes-A complex with the Ka-52 carrier helicopter. ATGM is ready for serial production.
  • 2009 - the complex "Klevok-A" is presented at the exhibitions of weapons of the Instrument Design Bureau (Tula).
