Project 21980 Grachonok / Rook - anti-sabotage boats

Project 21980 anti-sabotage boats are designed to protect the naval bases of the Russian Navy. Modern equipment and high seaworthiness allow them to solve a wide range of problems, characteristic of ships of much larger displacement. The boat is built according to the project developed by JSC " KB" Vympel " ( Nizhny Novgorod)

Anti-sabotage boats "Grachonok" are equipped with modern electronic weapons ( sonar detection of underwater sabotage forces and means "Anapa", navigation radar station MP-231, optoelectronic complex for lighting near air and surface conditions MTK-201 M3) and means for detecting underwater objects ( search and survey complex "Squid"). On board the boats there is diving equipment.

Project 21980 anti-sabotage boats have been built by the Zelenodolsk plant for the Russian Navy since 2008. The serial design of project 21980 turned out to be justified - the plant fulfills its obligations for the construction of Grachat efficiently and on time , moreover, due to the experience gained by the enterprise and the ongoing modernization of production, the construction time is reduced. So, in 2014, they successfully completed state tests, ahead of the time originally set by the state contract, anti-sabotage boats of project 21980 built by the plant: the sixth boat for 3 months, the seventh for 13 months. Last year, Grachata ensured the safety of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi.

On 12 January 2015 at OJSC " Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky " ( the company is part of a group of companies of JSC" Holding company " Ak Bars"), a ceremony of laying the body of the eighth in a series of anti-sabotage boats 21980 project developed by JSC " KB" Vympel " ( Nizhny Novgorod).

The ceremony was attended by Director General of JSC " Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky Renat Mistakhov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Andrei Dutov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleev, Deputy Director of the Department of Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Andrei Kurasov, Chief Specialist of the Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for ensuring state defense orders Dmitry Garanin, Head of Zelenodolsk municipal district Alexander Tygin, General Director of JSC "Holding company " Ak Bars "Ivan Egorov, chief designer of the project, Alexander Rechitsa 21980, and others.

Opening the solemn rally, Renat Mistakhov noted that at the very beginning of the coming year, the factory workers set the bar high and for the second time this year they gave a solemn start to the construction of a new ship. Just a few days ago - on January 6, two orders were immediately laid at the enterprise - the new and unique cable vessels of project 15310. The Director General thanked the factory workers for their valiant work, and also expressed gratitude for the trust and support to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and trade of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan Government and the Holding company " Ak Bars".

Andrey Dutov congratulated the factory workers on a significant event and wished further success and development to the enterprise.

Ildar Mingaleev began his speech with congratulations to the factory workers on the successful completion of 2014 - the plant adequately fulfilled its production program. Ildar Ravilyevich called the ongoing laying ceremony and the preceding start of the construction of two cable vessels of project 15310 a serious bid for success this year. The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan wished the factory workers success in their responsible work, and the plant to be the flagship of the industry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the shipbuilding industry of Russia. In addition, I.R. Mingaleev expressed the wish that thanks to the efforts of the factory workers , the Rook flock should grow in the future.

Congratulating the factory workers on the successful start of 2015, Ivan Egorov wished a worthy continuation of work to strengthen the country's military power and good results in the coming year.

Dmitry Garanin in his welcoming speech noted the special importance of the ceremony of laying the new ship at the beginning of the anniversary year for the enterprise - the 120th anniversary of the founding. He wished all employees of the plant further success and prosperity.

Alexander Rechitsky called the ongoing event the next significant date in the glorious history of the Zelenodolsk plant. Alexander Sergeyevich, who took part in laying the lead boat of the project 21980, recalled the then symbolic parting word: Rooks fly in packs. Vivid evidence of the fulfilled wish was the beginning of the construction of the eighth production boat. The chief designer of the project 21980 wished the factory workers to continue not to slow down the momentum.

The distinguished guests of the solemn event were given the honorary right to establish a commemorative mortgage board of the eighth of a series of anti-sabotage boats of project 21980. As part of the ceremony, the plant employees were awarded, who made a significant contribution to the construction and delivery of ships for the Russian Navy, departmental awards and souvenirs.

In NOvemer 2017, built on the JSC " Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky" boat Special Project 21980 Black Sea Fleet "Crimea Yunarmeets" became part of the permanent task force of Navy Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea. For the first time, a boat of this class made a long voyage with an exit beyond the zone of the Black Sea Straits, proving its high seaworthiness.

It is planned that in the distant operational zone Yunarmeets of Crimea will be involved in the tasks of guarding the ships when parked on an unprotected roadstead, as well as to ensure the safety of the bases of the naval forces, the press service of the Southern Military District The boat is equipped with the latest technical equipment and weapons, allowing to effectively perform tasks for their intended purpose.

In accordance with the contract, the four boats are expected to be built before 2017. Two of the boats are planned to be delivered to the customer in 2016. All the Project 21980 anti-sabotage boats will join Russias Northern Fleet.
