Type 645 Marine Comprehensive Survey Ship

The Type 645 Marine Comprehensive Survey Ship (4000 tons), the first ship name "Xiangyanghong 09" (namely "V350", "Southern Transfer 350"), was the country's fourth five-year plan small batch trial project, commissioned by the State Oceanic Administration 708 two rooms design, Hudong The first product built by the shipyard. It was started in October 1977, completed in October 1978, and served in December 1978. Later, two identical ships were built for the State Oceanic Administration: Xiangyanghong 14, Xiangyanghong 16, and the 813 electronic technology reconnaissance ship (Xiangyanghong No. 21).

The ship is a comprehensive scientific investigation ship, which can engage in marine hydrology, physics, marine meteorology, ocean chemistry, marine geology, geomorphology, biology and other scientific research work in various sea areas, providing marine scientific information for national defense construction economic construction; wartime and can be used Wartime guarantee work. This type of 4000-ton marine survey vessel was still new in China at the time.

The whole ship has 16 laboratories with an area of about 267 square meters; it has a 66-square-meter specimen compartment and an 84-square-meter spare compartment. Set up 12 sets of 9 types of special deck winches. The main engine adopts 2 domestic 9ESDZ43/82B low-speed diesel engines with rated power of 3308 kW (4,500 hp) and rated speed of 200 rpm. The auxiliary machine adopts 6250GZC-II, 4 sets of TFH-400/10, rated power 470 kW (640 hp), rated speed 600 rpm. It has an active rudder with a 250 kW submersible motor.

The ship also has a domestic first-class 10,000-meter depth sounder, and has the most advanced and complete meteorological equipment, communication equipment, navigation equipment, and marine scientific investigation equipment at that time.

The 4000-ton marine integrated survey vessel is to be operated under complex sea conditions and in various sea areas. Therefore, excellent ship design and reasonable overall layout are the key to design. After years of use, it proved that the ship has a good ship type and can be promoted as a mother ship type.

After entering service, Yangyang 09 participated in the first Global Atmospheric Test ( FGGE ) in 1979. At the same time as the completion of the test, samples of polymetallic nodules were collected at the ocean floor from 3,000 meters to 5,000 meters, and the deep sea was measured at a depth of 1200 meters. In June 1980, Xiang Yang Hong 09 boats and American oceanographic research ships together completed the Cooperative Research sedimentation Yangtze River Estuary. In December 1981, " Xiang Yang Hong 09" experienced a fire while investigating a section of the Yellow Sea, and it took until 1983 years to complete the restoration. In 1984 , Xiangyanghong 09 completed the first black tide survey in the East China Sea. IN October 1985, Xiang Yang Hong 09 visited Japan, and later visited South Korea, North Korea, the United States and Russia.

In 1993, the ocean expedition "Xiang Yang Hong 16" ocean-going scientific research ship sank in the East China Sea, which led China to not honor their commitments to the International Seabed Authority. In April 1994, " Xiang Yang Hong 09" was ordered to support the implementation of China's ocean polymetallic nodule resources exploration DY85-4 voyage. Under China's " Eighth Five-Year Plan" during the ocean inspection of the fourth voyage mission, the DY85-4 voyage had a total duration of 4572 hours and a total voyage of 36,000 nautical miles. The voyage time is long and the voyage is far away. The latest record of the State Oceanic Administration system has been updated. During the Hawaiian replenishment in October, General Zhang Xueliang also visited.

On 28 November 2007, after the Shipping Industry by modification of Xiang Yang Hong 09, the vessels become "Dragon" manned submersible mother ship, up to now has completed a number of pilot applications voyage task.

Xiang Yang Hong 14 was under the South China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration column, currently belong to eight detachment, after the column has completed the investigation of marine meteorological Sino-US cooperation, Sino-Japanese cooperation Subtropical Gyre survey, Nansha, South China Sea and the northern section of the Gulf of investigation and other tasks; 2003 In the year, Xiangyanghong No. 14 placed a submerged floating ocean observation buoy (ARGO profile buoy) in the northwest Pacific Ocean.

Xiangyanghong 14 ship was redesignated Haijian 81, and completed the South China Sea rights cruise enforcement tasks and confronted various foreign ships. The Xiangyanghong 14 ship was overhauled at the Huangpu Shipyard at the end of 2012. The main engine was replaced, the workshop was re-arranged and renovated, and the overhaul was completed in 2014.

Xiangyanghong No. 16 was affiliated to the East China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration. After the ship was listed, it went to the Pacific Ocean to conduct investigations on polymetallic nodules resources five times, and carried out marine scientific research work in China's offshore areas. 1988 Nian of power systems and electronic systems on a large scale retrofitting, 1992 Nian 11 months to 1993 Nian 4 months for the implementation of polymetallic nodules survey mission, again a large-scale modification, the new advanced survey equipment. On 02 May 1993, Xiang Yang Hong 16 collided with an 80,000-ton Cypriot cargo ship, which sank after colliding. The accident caused three scientific examiners to die and major property losses (the other party did not compensate, and the ship's scientific equipment was not insured). The ship completed the task of exploration of polymetallic nodules in the ocean floor, and the responsible persons were seriously dealt with.

Technical performance is as follows:
total length 112.05 meters;
depth 8.20 meters;
width 15.20 meters;
full load draft 5.50 meters;
full load displacement 4435 tons;
speed 18.20 knots;
endurance 10,000 nautical miles / 4 knots;
self-sustaining force 60 Day;
capacity 150 people;
stability and standard for the Class I navigation area, the adjacent two tanks are not sinking, meeting the strengthening requirements of the Grade 4 ice area.
