Type 529 remote-controlled minesweeper

China Navy's newly constructed minesweeping drones are an improvement over the old Vietnam War era Type 312. These remotely controlled drones are manned only by ferrying, which is where the windows come into play. Drones Nos 8181-8183 are controlled by 818 Kunshan and 8041-8043 by Huoqiu.

In August 2011, a sea area in the Yellow Sea was covered with clouds and waves. A joint de-mining exercise was kicked off, and several remote-controlled minesweepers entered the exercise area side by side. With superb maneuvering skills, the crew led the boat to sail for 26 days and nights, with a total range of more than 1,500 nautical miles, creating a new record for the Navy's 100-ton boat. After the mission was completed, the crew also proposed 23 improvement suggestions to the expert group, which provided a scientific basis for the development and production of the subsequent remote minesweeping boat. In the next few years, a series of practical problems such as mine clearance, manual control of mine clearance, and hunting of new types of mines were mastered one by one. The new remote-controlled minesweepers finally formed combat effectiveness.

By 2012 the Peoples Navys first new type of remote-controlled minesweeper came from the waves and installed a minesweeper brigade of the East China Sea Fleet. The remote minesweeper is a sub-boat of a new type of minesweeper. It is a remote-controlled mine-sweeping device during wartime. It is usually a self-contained independent boat. With the approval of the Central Military Commission, the Navy is preparing to select a group of non-commissioned officers with high-quality and strong business capabilities as the captain of the remote minesweeping boat. Individual applications, branch recommendations, open campaigns... Several non-commissioned officers stood out and became the first sergeant captains of the entire army.

There is no precedent for the new type of minesweeping boat training. There is no experience and no difficulty. The officers and captains of the sergeants met with difficulties and mastered a wealth of usage data through extensive experiments. They thoroughly understood the technical performance of the new equipment and led their comrades to quickly master various skills such as navigation, communication, and electromechanical. At the end of the year, these officers and men of the officers became the outstanding "four sessions" coaches in a certain police district.
