PLA Reserve Forces - Uniformas & Insignia

On May 10, 1995, the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress passed the "Reserve Officer Law of the People's Republic of China." The “Reserve Officers Law of the People’s Republic of China” stipulates that reserve officers grant ranks to reserve officers, and the ranks are set at 3 grades and 8 levels. The ranks are basically the same as those of active officers, and the highest rank is the major general reserve. Reserve soldiers are not awarded military ranks. Starting from January 1, 1997, reserve officers wear military uniforms, badges and symbols during the period of military training, military service and national day, army building or major celebrations.
