National People's Air Defense Office
The leading body of the Chinese people's air defense is the People's Republic of China People's Air Defense Commission. People's Air Defense Committees are also set up in the big military regions, provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) and major cities. In November 1994, the State Development and Reform Commission was established, and the office of the former National People's Air Defense Commission was changed to the People's Defense and Air Defense Office of the State Commission for Migration. It was clarified that the National People's Air Defense Office is the administrative department in charge of managing civil air defense work throughout the country.
