7th Corps Support Group
The 7th Support Group was constituted in England on 31 July 1944 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 548th Quartermaster Group and participated in the Rhineland Campaign during World War 77.
It was inactivated 20 July 1947 and redesignated 18 November 1947 as Headquarters Detachment, 7th Quartermaster Group and inactivated 20 September 1957 in Germany.
It was redesignated at Ludwigsburg, Germany as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 7th Support Group. In 1985 it moved Headquarters to McKee Barracks, Crailsheim Germany.
On 8 December 1990 it deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Shield and later participated in Operation Desert Storm. During this action the Headquarters performed its mission in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. In 1993 HHC joined the 71st Corps Support Battalion in Nurenberg at Pinder Barracks. This was necessary because of the Army drawdown.
The Headquarters again moved in June 1995 to Warner Barracks in Bamberg, Germany.
