7th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment
The mission of the 7th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, is to provide avim, back-up avum, class ix (air) support to V Corps aviation units.
The unit is also tasked with, on order, deploying a tailored force package to provide AVIM, back-up AVUM, and CLASSIX (Air) support to units assigned/attached to the theater/corps, in support of NATO, Joint, Combined, or Army component regional contingency operations, and then redeploying as directed.
