7th Brigade (TS), 100th Division (Institutional Training)

The mission of the 7th Brigade (Training Support) is to receive and soldierise IET soldiers, train ROTC Cadets, train maintenance soldiers, train and certify Drill Sergeants for the Division, maintain and coordinate Division track and wheel assets, provide test and evaluation services and utilize high technology systems to deliver state of the art Armor training. Upon mobilization assume Command responsibilities for Reserve Deployment/Redeployment functions at Fort Knox. On order provide individual augmentees to round-out sister training units at Fort Knox.

The 7th Brigade has been located at Fort Knox since 1985, having originally had its headquarters at Bowman Field, Louisville, KY. Since its initial move to Fort Knox the Brigade has moved four times to various locations on post and has undergone as many major reorganizations. In 2003 it will move again, to a brand new reserve center on post that will house all of Fort Knox Reserve units.
