• IRAQ: Regional conference unlikely to end violence, say analysts IRIN 06 May 2007 -- The promises and commitments made at the two-day regional gathering that drew top diplomats to the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Shaikh to support Iraq are unlikely to end the country's violence, analysts and civilians said on Saturday.
