MND-B patrol targeted by roadside bomb
Multi-National Division – Baghdad Public Affairs

BAGHDAD – A MND-B Soldier was killed and four others were wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated in a western section of the Iraqi capital May 4.

Soldiers of Multi-National Division – Baghdad continue conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon to help Iraqi Security Forces and the Government of Iraq set conditions for a stable and self-reliant nation.

In the past several weeks, elements of the unit have found numerous caches including canisters of ammonium nitrate, weapons and ammunition. The unit has also made several arrests during targeted raids. These operations help reduce the threat of insurgent attacks and continue to provide a more secure environment for the Iraqi people.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
