- Iraqi Prime Minister Issues State of Emergency Throughout Country AFPS 07 Nov 2004 -- Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi issued a statement today declaring a state of emergency throughout Iraq, except for the Kurdish region in the north.
- Focus in Eastern Baghdad Shifts from Fighting to Reconstruction AFPS 07 Nov 2004 -- As fighting between militiamen loyal to cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and multinational forces has subsided, the focus for Task Force Baghdad soldiers has shifted from combat operations to reconstruction, military officials here said.

- Soldiers Find Caches Near Balad MNF-I/MNC-I 07 Nov 2004 -- First Infantry Division Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 77th Infantry Regiment discovered three weapon caches near Balad on Nov 6.
- IRAQ/WRAP VOA 07 Nov 2004 -- At least 21 people were killed in Iraq Sunday morning in a series of attacks on Iraqi police stations. The attack was part of escalating violence as U.S. and Iraqi forces prepare a major assault of the insurgent stronghold of Fallujah.
- Fallujah-Ramadi Operations Update MNF-I/MNC-I 07 Nov 2004 -- Iraqi Security Forces and the I Marine Expeditionary Force continue to degrade and disrupt anti-Iraqi forces in the Fallujah-Ramadi area. I Marine Expeditionary Force employed U.S. Marine Corps aviation assets to deliver precision munitions to destroy preplanned targets in Fallujah.
- Iraqi Insurgents Kill, Injure Dozens With Car Bombs RFE/RL 07 Nov 2004 -- In the Iraqi city of Samarra 37 people, many of them policemen, have been killed in four car bombings by insurgents. Among those killed was a local police chief.
