CAR BOMB KILLS SOLDIER, WOUNDS FOUR IN WESTERN BAGHDAD BLAST

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated on a Task Force Baghdad convoy in western Baghdad at approximately 1 p.m., killing one Soldier and wounding four others.

All five Soldiers hit by the blast were medically evacuated to a military treatment facility. One Soldier died of wounds.

The name of the Soldier killed is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. The incident is under investigation.
