  • COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MILITARY AIR DEFENSE RADAR 18 Dec 2002-- In response to Iraqi acts against Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions over Southern Iraq, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target an Iraqi military air defense radar site. The site was located south of Al Kut, approximately 100 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strike occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. EST.
