IJN Mizuho Seaplane Carrier
The Mizuho was part of the 1937 Programme and was laid down in the same year. Similar in design to the Chitose class but more underpowered, she was completed in February of 1937. She was outfitted with four catapults and carried midget submarines, though a full load of these submarines effectively halved her aircraft complement of 24. The Mizuho was sunk on 2 May 1942 when an American submarine torpedoed her.
