IJN Kiyokaze Class Destroyers

The Kiyokaze class destroyers were essentially modified vessels of the Minekaze class which had an increased berth for better stability. This was required due to the use of steel in the superstructure of the bridge, which led to the ships being more top heavy. A higher caliber version of the 4.7in gun debuted on the Kiyokaze destroyers. The class was also referred to as the Kamikaze class.
