European Christian Political Movement
The European Christian Political Movement (ECPM) is a political association of Christian-democratic parties and organisations which are active on all different political levels in Europe. ECPM is represented on the national or European level in 10 EU member states.
ECPM has a broad scope on issues and themes. During the 2014 European elections campaign ECPM focused on the following five spearheads:
- Marriage and human dignity
- Human trafficking and sex trade
- Sustainable entrepreneurship and economy
- Priority for family
- Freedom of faith, conscience and expression.
It was founded in 2002 but was not formally recognised as a European political party until 2010. Its two MEPs - both of whom come from the Netherlands - are currently divided between the Conservative and Eurosceptic groups.
