    * - These vessels are or were operated by Egypt's Coast Guard, technically a branch of the Egyptian Navy.

1 - By 1990, the El Fateh was employed primarily for training Egyptian Navy midshipmen. Tariq was similar used for training duties by the end of the 1990s.

2 - Four ships similar in design to the Soviet P-6/Project 183 were reported in service between 1991 and 1995, despite the class having been previously reported to have been removed from Egyptian service in 1985. It was possible these were new hulls and had likely been refitted with new engines and other equipment.

3 - The presidential yacht El Horriya had been decommissioned in the 1980s, but was reactivated in 1992 and was available for training and barracks duties in addition to its state function.
