Mother of All Bombs with Chinese characteristics

It was reported 04 January 2019 that for the first time, the China State Industrial Corporation NORINCO demonstrated a new type of aerial bomb, the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in China. The developers dubbed it their own version of the "Mother of All Bombs", with Chinese characteristics. By its power and destructive power ammunition second only to nuclear weapons. The first tests have already been carried out - the bomb was dropped from the H-6K bomber and led to a gigantic explosion. In this case, the place of testing is not specified. According to military analysts, a bomb can easily destroy fortified ground targets, buildings, bastions and defenses. Weapons can also be used for engineering purposes, for example, for clearing landing zones. The Chinese counterpart is smaller and lighter than the American "Mother of All Bombs."

Because of its huge size and weight, the H-6K bomber can only carry one bomb. Military expert Wei Dong said that the length of the bomb was estimated to be 5-6m. The bombs developed by China were smaller and lighter than the US and could be mounted on H-6K bombers. In January 2018 year, it was reported that the US armed forces had upgraded their most powerful non-nuclear ammunition - the GBU-57 aerial bomb. GBU-57 weighing 13 tons and a charge of almost 2.5 tons of explosives can penetrate into the ground to a depth of 61 meters. This ammunition can only be carried by a B-2 bomber.
