Macao Garrison

According to the Beijing Xinhua on December 20, 1999 an unidentified motorized infantry unit (believed to be a company) attached to the Macao Garrison relieved the No. 15 Company of the Hong Kong Garrison's Infantry Brigade. The U/I Motorized Infantry Unit participated in the Liaoning-Shenyang Campaign and the Peiping-Tientsin Campaign during the War of Liberation as well as the Korean War. The Company assumed guard duties at the Hong Kong Garrison on July 1, 1997 and was withdrawn from that location in November 1998. The company was transferred to Macao sometime in 1999.
