AV-1000

On 05 September 2013 the second Tianjin International Helicopter Expo opened. At the Expo site, as many as 40 real helicopters participated in static displays and flight demonstrations, and many domestic new real helicopters and models were unveiled. The closely watched Wuzhi-10, Wuzhi-19, and Zhi-9 will bring wonderful aerobatics. For the performance, the "Blue Whale" tiltrotor model known as the Chinese version of "Osprey" and the Jueying-8 unmanned helicopter model were also unveiled for the first time.

AV-1000 UAV was developed by CHRDI and produced by CAIC. AV-1000 based on the experience gained from U8E, and it is named as its maximum take-off weight of 1000 kg. Like U8E, AV-1000 is also an unmanned helicopter in conventional layout with a pair of skids as landing gear. The AV-1000 was developed and produced at the AVIC Helicopter Research and Development Institute CHRDI in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC) put on display its first unmanned combat helicopter AV500W for foreign buyers in a bid to enlarge scope to market its military drones abroad.

This project has not been subsequently attested, and there were no contemporaneous images of the vehicle in flight. Probably the AV200 was a development proposal that bracketed the AV-500 that did not reach fruition, beyond the stage of a trade show display model.
