The 717st Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation was founded in 1960 and is located in Wuhan China Optical Valley. 717 is a member unit of Wuhan Optoelectronics National Laboratory, the chairman unit of Hubei Optical Society, the deputy director of the Infrared Technology Committee of China Optical Society, and the chairman of the Chinese Navigation Society Astronomical-Inertial Professional Committee. It is the editor of China's science and technology core journal "Optical and Photoelectric Technology".
