712th Research Institute CSIC

The 712th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, is located in the beautiful city of Wuhan, with more than 30 researchers and more than 500 senior and middle-level technicians. More than 80 million yuan in fixed assets, the professional scope involves chemical power (lead acid battery), automatic control, computer development and application, large and medium-sized DC motors, permanent magnet motors and special motors, switchgear, electrical insulation chemicals and environmental protection projects.

Since 1963, the Institute has been the designated national unit for the development of lead-acid batteries. In the mid-1980s, the company took the lead in developing a fully sealed valve-regulated lead-acid battery and formed mass production. Our chemical power research center and battery factory rely on strong technical force and excellent research team, and are committed to the research of chemical power supply and special power supply for valve-regulated lead-acid batteries. Its research and production technology is in a leading position in China. In 1992, the fully sealed valve-regulated lead-acid battery technology was listed by the State Science and Technology Commission as the "International Science and Technology Achievements Key Promotion Plan" project. A number of research results were awarded at the Science and Technology Conference. In 1997 and 1998, it passed the national standard GB/T9001-1994 (ISO9001:94) and the national military standard GJB/Z9001-96 dual quality assurance system certification. Its products include 39 series of 2V, 6V, 12V three series. The fully sealed valve-regulated lead-acid battery developed by this research center is widely used in electric power, communication, railway, banking, national defense and other systems and exported overseas, and has been widely used by users. At present, the annual production capacity of valve-controlled fully sealed lead-acid batteries is 10,000 KVAh.

The long-term quality pursuit has also been affirmed by users. It has successively obtained the military product quality system certification, the Ministry of Information Industry “Telecom Equipment Network Access License”, the National Defense Communication Network Equipment and Equipment Access License, and the Ministry of Railways locomotive battery fixed-point manufacturer. One, the national certificate of scientific and technological achievements key promotion plan "certificate", passed the quality inspection of the Ministry of Power, and passed the China Unicom supporting equipment finalist review.
