The seven-in-one diesel engine and gas engine research and development, design and manufacturing integration, is China's only national-level marine diesel engine professional research institute. With a domestic first-class R&D and design team, we master the core and key technologies of the most advanced diesel and gas engines in the world, and adopt the most advanced design methods and testing methods in the world to develop commercial machines with international advanced level.

711 successfully developed high-end components and systems for diesel engines with international advanced level oil mist detectors, intelligent control units, SCR systems, etc. It is a major supplier of diesel engine accessories such as turbochargers and electronic governors.

The medium-speed diesel engine is committed to changing the situation that China's high-end marine medium-speed diesel engine products rely on foreign brands. Since 2011, the Institute has successfully developed and launched the CS21/32 medium-speed diesel engine series. The products that have been introduced are 6CS21/32 and 8CS21. /32 models, including the main engine and generator set, power coverage of 1230 ~ 1760kW, its technical indicators are at the international leading level, with low fuel consumption, high reliability, green and environmental characteristics, overhaul period of more than 30,000 hours, can meet IMO Tier II emission requirements. The products can be applied to engineering ship power, offshore engineering equipment power, surface ship main and auxiliary power, land power station and other fields.

711 has become a comprehensive entity integrating diesel engine and power plant, integrating R&D, production, service, project contracting and trade. It is the first batch of 100 research institutes granted by the state to grant independent management rights for import and export of scientific and technological products. One of them. In February 1998, the Shanghai Xinzhong Power Plant was merged, setting a precedent for the merger of state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises by research institutes. In November 1999, the company established the holding company “Shanghai Qi Yao Technology Engineering Co., Ltd.” with a registered capital of 80 million yuan.
