PLA 52nd Army
The 52nd Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was made from the 1st Corps of the Kuomintang Army and a part of the Changsha Uprising during the Liberation War.
In early August 1949, Kuomintang Chief Sha Suijing Office and Chairman of Hunan Provincial Government Cheng Qian and Huazhong Military and Political Deputy Commander and 1st Corps Commander Chen Mingren accepted the "Internal Peace Agreement" and led Sui Office Command, Corps Headquarters and A total of 70,000 people from the three armies announced the uprising. Changsha declared peaceful liberation. The Fourth Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Uprising Army reached an agreement and with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Uprising Army was reorganized into the 1st Corps of the Chinese Nationalist People's Liberation Army in Liuyang County, Hunan Province. The Kuomintang Army's 197th, 232nd, and 307th Divisions were successively reorganized into the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Divisions, and formed the 1st Corps under the jurisdiction of the 1st Corps.
In November, according to the Order of the People’s Revolutionary Military Commission of China on October 2 and the Order of the Fourth Field Army on October 20, the 1st Corps of the 1st Corps of the Chinese Nationalist People’s Liberation Army was reorganized as the 52nd Corps under the 21st Corps. Wang Jinxiu, deputy commander of the 21st Corps, also served as commander, Yang Shugen served as political commissar, Wu Linhuan and Zhang Chengwen served as deputy commanders, Zhou Zhifei served as chief of staff, and Zhong Mingbiao served as director of the political department. The 1st Division was reorganized into the 214th Division, Zeng Jing was the division head, and Lan Tinghui was the Political Committee; the 2nd Division was reorganized into the 215th Division, Zhang Jingbai was the division, and Jiang Tengjiao was the Political Committee; the 3rd Division was reorganized into the 216th Division, Yu Jiucheng became the commander and Cao Bo was promoted to political commissar. There were more than 15,000 people in the army.
In October 1950, the 216th Division was cancelled, and its personnel were added to the 214th and 215th Divisions. On September 2, 1951, the 52nd Army Headquarters was revoked, and the 214th and 215th subordinates belonged to the 21st Corps.
