In the postwar years, the 120th Guards Motorized Rifle Division took part in all major military exercises and maneuvers: "Dnieper" (1967), "Neman" (1968), "Dvina" (1970), "Spring-75" (1975), " Berezina (1978), Zapad-81 (1981). In November 2001, the 120th Guards Motorized Rifle Division was reorganized into the 120th Guards Rogachev Red Banner, of the Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov, a separate mechanized brigade named after the Supreme Soviet of the Belarusian SSR.

Currently, the personnel of the compound continues the glorious traditions laid down during the Great Patriotic War, showing high results in all exercises of the Armed Forces. The most important exam for the servicemen of the unit in 2013 was the joint strategic exercise of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation "West-2013", during which the servicemen demonstrated high professionalism and combat training. The personnel of the 120th separate mechanized brigade celebrates its holiday in the field, performing training tasks during combat training.

In accordance with the training plan of the North-Western Operational Command for the 2011/2012 academic year, from 15 to 17 October 2012, under the leadership of the Deputy Commander of the North-Western Operational Command, Major General Andrei Nekrashevich, a battalion tactical exercise with 355 separate battalion of the 120th Guards Separate Mechanized Brigade on the subject of training and participation of the battalion in the counterattack. The main purpose of the exercise is to check the readiness of the battalion to perform its assigned tasks, as well as to increase the coherence of units and field training of servicemen. During the exercise, commanders and officials of the 355th ATB headquarters will gain skills in managing units in a rapidly changing situation, maintaining interaction with other troops and military formations in the preparation and conduct of offensive combat during the counterattack.

A dynamic learning environment was created for the exercise, which is not tied to the real military-political situation and is focused mainly on the initiative and creativity of students. In order to achieve the goals of the exercise, some conventions were adopted, in determining which its leadership and mediation apparatus were based on the available military training facilities. The idea of the exercise with combat shooting involved working out issues of both defensive and offensive nature.
