Maneuver Support Vessel, Heavy (MSV-H)

The Maneuver Support Vessel (Heavy) (MSV(H)) is to be an expeditionary, intra-theater, heavy transport to replace the Logistic Support Vessel (LSV). In 2015 an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) was projected in FY19.

On 11 November 2015 the Army Contracting Command issued a Sources Sought SN03941720-W. The U.S. Government was seeking potential sources to Conduct Army Watercraft Systems (AWS) Strategy analysis in support of HQDA G3/G8 directives for the Combined Armed Support Command. The baseline of the requirements is as identified in the draft Maneuver Support Vessel, Light (MSV-L) and Maneuver Support Vessel, Heavy (MSV-H) Capability Development Document (CDD) and legacy watercraft ORDs and ROCs. The task will augment mission areas not covered by current TDA authorizations. To accomplish the tasks within MSD Mobility Division, experience with AWS and Army Transportation is expected and required.
