AD-3 Dobbin
The Dobbin (AD-3) was the first destroyer tender built for the U.S. Navy (Philadelphia Navy Yard) and commissioned in July 1924. Her sister ship, the Whitney (AD-4) was built by Boston Navy Yard and commissioned in Sep 1924. Both ships served during World War II and were decommissioned in 1946.
